The Final Chapter

Holiday 026.JPG
To sum up the rest of the trip, Friday entailed much better food, including my very own sweet potatos. We also did a little shopping at an outlet mall. We came out of the experience with a red kitchen aid mixer in hand - a gift from his mom.
The drive back was long, very long. We left Saturday morning instead of the originally planned departure on Sunday. The trip was cut a bit shorter than I would have liked, but it was ok. We pulled into Ruston about 2 am Sunday morning.
Final conclusions: Snow- zero $, good, but can deffinitly ruin traveling
Illinois food - zero $, not so good. Maybe next time I'll sneak my own Tony's, salt, and pepper.
Traveling the day before a big holiday- zero $, not so good. I'll try to avoid this in the future.
Riding in a car with the in-laws for 16 hours- zero $ not so great. 16 hours in a car can make anybody cranky.
Being home- Priceless (being married and home with Andrew will be better though)

What's the deal with people that live in cold weather regions keeping it so stinkin' hot inside? Come on, I've got four layers on, I can only take off so many! Why can't it just be a reasonable temperature. Just because it's below freezing outside doesn't mean it has to be 85 inside. That's why I live in the South where I can be cold year round. AC is a wonderful thing.

...............................

We had a wedding shower at AAPC last night. Mom and Granny even came in for it. Thanks to all those that came, and for the hard work that the hostesses put in. My sister-in-law's family did most the work. Her mom, sister, and aunt were three of the four planners. The cutsie foods, the handy 'tips', and of course the gifts were all superb.

..............................
I think we're going to see a movie tonight. We've already seen "THE INCREDIBLES" , we've heard "Alexander" is no good, I have no desire to see "Polar Express" or "Seed of Chucky". "Christmas with the Kranks" doesn't look so hot. That leaves "Ray", "The Grudge" and a few other movies I don't particularly care to see. I think we'll end up at "Ray". We'll see how it goes.
..............................
This has been another long boring post by yours truly. I'm tired.

Not to be a jerk - it's just one of my spelling pet-peaves (you know me and my spelling) - it's DEFINITELY. Just think DEFINE or FINITE. It's a common misspelling.

Nice picture. I like it.
