First days
As far as first days of work go, mine was fine. It was really more of an orientation so I wasn't in charge. I forgot how easily kids become your friend though. I was in a classroom with four year olds and in a matter of minutes I was sitting on the floor for story time with three kids in my lap and two others wanting to be. I then spent the next couple of hours just playing with the kids at the various "centers." Over all I enjoyed it. I also met a co-worker whose husband is a law student too. We talked for a while and she gave me her husband's phone number and email address and told me that Andrew could call him any time with questions. I am thinking that maybe after I talk to her a couple more times we could invite them over. Maybe when we have them over we could also invite Kat's cousin and her boyfriend (who we met last weekend.) We'll see. That's a big jump that I'm not sure I'm ready to make yet.

Gabriel is really getting around now. He isn't really up on all fours like the traditional crawl, but he is scooting around on his stomach and getting everywhere. We are now picking up important things from low places, and I've got to keep the floor a lot cleaner. Yesterday I picked him up after he'd been on the floor for ten minutes and his stomach and feet were kind of brown. (Good thing a bottle of soap spilled on the floor this morning!)

I still don't love it here, but I'm trying. And tomorrow we get to go to church.
