Mother's Helper

The church we've been going to here, Redeemer Presbyterian, has this wonderful program called "Mother's Helper." The church has a lot of members that are college students and some of the young women volunteer a little time each week to help moms at home. As of last week, I have a helper. It's a little strange having someone come in to help clean your house though. I feel like I need to clean my house before she comes. I am also a little apprehensive about just putting her to work on one end of the house while I work at the other end. At least having her here is incentive to make me work harder though. She is coming tomorrow afternoon and I have already made a list. I don't want to make her do any grose things, but then again, those are the things I really don't want to do!
The whole purpose of the program is for the young women to get to know the married women, to help with the house, and the kids, and for the married women to be a godly example of a wife and mother to the younger women. So far, in the little time I've had, I have really enjoyed it. I hope that she has too.

Wow! I have to admit, I am REALLY jealous!! It would be so nice to have help around the house especially right now with trying to juggle all the regular house chores with packing up a whole house with 2 kids!
That's a great thing that your church is doing!

I went to your photography website.... I like it.
I found it very easy to navigate which I think is the most important things for a website to have. My only suggestion is to put more sample pictures on it!

Thanks for checking it out Ragen. I amn hoping to get some business going here so that I can put some Waco people on there too.
And yes, the mother's helper program is great. I really enjoyed my helper today and got a lot done. It's hard to sit down and take a break when someone else is working too, so that means that even more gets done!
