It almost baby ime

Well, I went to the doctor today...and I'm still pregnant. I've been having a ton of contractions the last couple of weeks, and am at 4 cm now. If I don't have a baby before then, I will be induced at 5 am Monday morning. I'm still really hoping for sooner than that though. I'm not enjoying the Waco heat.

Is it crazy knowing when you're going to have a baby? You know the day the time. I'm sure the anticipation is just unbearable. It would totally be like that for me at least.

It is pretty unbearable, but mostly because I'm still pregnant:) It is still completely possible for me to go into labor before that, and I am sure I will still be sitting on the edge of my seat with every contraction, watching the clock! I forgot how much I dislike the end of pregnancy. It's not even dread of delivery. At this point delivery is a welcome idea. (I'm sure you're feeling pretty ready yourself, Lacey.)

It's the getting comfortable part that makes me so ancy. This past week has been a challenge in breathing and staying in a position that will last longer than a few minutes. To be honest, standing is better at times. Sleeping at night hasn't been great; however the past 2 nights have been better because I didn't take an afternoon nap. I feel as though if I wear myself out throughout the day I sleep soooo much better at night. This in your case chasing an 18 month old keeps you pretty occupied I’m sure. Not to mention that I’m just so anxious to meet the little one:-)

I have also found that not napping makes me sleep much better, but there's always Tylenol PM to help out too. I had stopped taking it for fear of going into labor and having PM juice in my system, but my doctor said not to worry about it. She said that I'm better off getting good sleep while I can and that when I go into labor that PM juice won't get in the way a bit. I have slept much better the last couple of nights, only waking up once or twice to pee or turn over. But you're right, moving around during the day helps too.
I'm just the opposite about standing though. I'm ok with walking, but if I stand in one position for too long my leg starts to get tingly. I guess Jonah doesn't like being still. (I know that's true, he is most active from ten to midnight, when I am TRYING to relax!) Hang in there though...we could both go at an point! (That doesn't help does it? It just makes you more conscious of every contraction or every movement...."oh, am I in labor now?.....how bout now?"
