The Biggest Loser/Saver
After watching the Biggest Loser tonight, I realize that I have to make a commitment. I also realize that in order to stick to it, I have to put some things in writing. I am putting them here so that there are witnesses.
My eating and weight loss goals are as follows:
1. I will stop drinking cokes.
2. I will eat smaller portions at meal times.
3. I will only eat one healthy snack per day.
4. I well exercise at least 4 times a week.
5. I will lose 15 pounds by December 1st.
Likewise, my spending and saving goals:
1. I will not buy clothes unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
2. I will grocery shop weekly for meals...no extra snack foods!
3. I will stay away from Target as much as possible!
4. I will refrain from going "into town" daily, and keep driving to a minimum.
5. I will cut down on energy use by keeping the house a little warmer, and keeping lights off during the day.
Any other suggestions for saving money or losing weight?
Ready, Set, Go.

Well Hollie, if I had just had a baby girl it wouldn't be possible. But with two boys who have plenty of clothes, I *think* I can do it.

It's a good thing Target is in the completely wrong direction of where I normally shop, because I would really struggle. On the other hand Kohl's is one of my biggest weaknesses, so maybe I should stay away from there, I think I've maxed out my card any way...

I would be up a creek if I had a target card...or a kohls card for that matter.

Since moving to Charlotte - I've become "super budgeter". Some things that I've found very helpful: reducemybills.com - they give you information on finding the cheapest version of everything you need. Also, we had Comcast bundle service with cable, internet, and phone all together - but found that Vonage services our area - and they were cheaper than Comcast, even with the bundle. Also - Amy put me on to something called The Grocery Game. You can go to thegrocerygame.com for all the details - it is really fun when you get into it! Also, I think I've tried every diet/exercise program there is. One thing I've found that was fun and free was my-calorie-counter.com. Can you tell I spend a lot of time on the internet? Hope some of this helps!
