My Boys
Things around here have not slowed down at all. Andrew is still extremely busy, and I am too. These little boys are keeping me on my toes.
Gabriel has been a hoot lately. Today I tried putting some jeans on him with his cloth diaper and of course they wouldn't snap. I just pulled them up and pulled his shirt down and he got up set. He tried to snap them himself for a few minutes after that. It was so funny.

He has also been having a lot of fun with his stuffed animals. The other day I found him setting up his animals at the little table in his room. He was so proud of himself.

Jonah is doing well too. He has had an ear infection, but seems to be doing much better. He had a few days that he didn't want to nurse and he was holding his ears all the time, but both of those are ok now. He still holds onto his ears a lot, but he isn't acting like he's in pain anymore.
He is by no means chunky, but he has topped 11 pounds now. He doesn't look so sickly and scrawny now. All the grandparents and aunts should be happy now:)

Gabriel has been very sweet with Jonah lately. He calls Jonah "Non". He kind of squeaks when he says it. "NOOOOOOOn"

I am so ready for fall weather that when the temperature drops to the 80's I pull out Gabriel's fall clothes. He is probably miserable, but he looks so cute in long pants (and overalls.)

Luv the pictures! Yay, Jonah looks more filled out. That has got to be a bit of relief. I'm the same way about the clothes. It's supposed to be in the 50's on Thursday! MAJOR drop from our 90 degree day on Monday which I think is a record high in October for Indiana. I love changing up the clothes and trying new ones on him.

adorable pictures! jonah looks great.
did you just recently switch to cloth or have you done it all along?

Hollie, I just recently switched. I wasn't going to do it with both of them, but after a few weeks of cloth diapering Jonah, I decided to go ahead with Gabriel (at least while we're at home.) It really isn't that bad, and it saves a ton of money!

it seems to be all the rage these days. glad it's working well for you. i like to save money but i like convenience a little more :)

It's actually not that bad (with Jonah at least.) I don't even feel overwhelmed by washing diapers, and that's good for someone who hates doing laundry as much as I do.

yeah, i'd imagine the big boy poop is worse than the baby variety :)
Posted by: hollie at October 10, 2007 02:52 PM
Again, actually, the big boy poop is easier to discard (if you know what I mean). But dealing with a cloth diaper and a cover on a big kid is a lot more trouble when you're out. (Not to mention the fact that typically at home Gabriel doesn't even wear pants...they don't fit!)

Hey, glad the cloth thing is working out for you. I think we've decided not to. Brad's office threw us a small diaper shower last week and I brought Nathan by the office. So for now we are working our way through four massive bags of huggies! Congrats on topping 11 lbs Jonah! Keep it up or Nathan is going to catch up with you. I weighed me and them me holding him today and got 8.5 lbs! Started at 7lbs, 9oz and down to 6lbs, 14oz and now up to 8.5 in just 2 1/2 weeks. The nights are killing me though. I don't remember how long it took to get more than 3-4 hours at a time w/ my other two. Hopefully it won't be too terribly long.
We may need to do some baby clothes evaluating when you come. Not this weekend, but next right?
