Substitute
I'm a substitute teacher today. 7th and 8th graders...not my favorite age group, but it's not so bad. I still think I could be a teacher. It's just the 7:00 wake up call (for an emergency teacher fill in) that kills me.
I should have some more wedding pictures up soon. For those of you waiting, I'm sorry for the delay.

At work
For those of you that don't know, Andrew and I have been working at the Learning Tech for about three weeks now. The Learning Tech is "Quest School" by day, and tutoring in the afternoons. We each started with one student and in a matter of days we were up to 4 or so. I think now we both have about six. On top of that today I started working at the desk 8-3 on tuesdays. It has already been an interesting day. I am in charge of the phones, the incoming parents and students, the medicine cabinet, and various other things.
Just moments ago a 2nd grader came to the front desk in tears. He had to call his mom because he had just been informed that he has detention today. The tears made his speech impediment even more difficult to understand. He was pitiful! I really wanted to give him a hug, but I'm not sure how that would go over since I don't know the kid. I just really wanted to be able to help him calm down, but I guess that will take some time.
I am enjoying this work!

I'm still around
Things are going really well. Andrew and I are enjoying being married, and all the new things that go along with that. We are both working at the Learning Tech, tutoring jr. high and high school kids in various subjects. It can be quite trying at times, but on the whole it is a good job.
We are still waiting for the official wedding pictures, but when I have them I will be sure to post more.
It is hard to find the time to blog. This is not for a lack of time, but for a lack of internet access. All we have at home is dial-up, so it's not worth the time. I try to check things out as often as I can when at the Aaron and Amy's or at Andrew's parents' house.
I've gotten back into picture taking a little...I've done some more senior portraits, some engagement pictures, and un-officially booked two weddings.
We are debating getting another dog. This is a hard decision.
That's my life right now.
