Happy Birthday Sophie

We had quite the busy weekend. Friday night we had a high school graduation for Kara in Texarkana, then Andrew and I were the "adult supervision" at her pool party. Saturday was Tech Graduation (congrats to Vickie, Danny, Kelsey, Wesley, and 801 others.) Once again, Tech graduation proved to be the most horrible time imaginable. With the governor of LA and Karl Malone there still wasn't much excitement. A three hour commencement excercise is never any fun. After that we headed to a party for Vickie.
The last stop was a rip-roarin' time at Sophie's 2nd birthday party. What fun.

Sunday night was fun too. Andrew and I enjoyed a refreshing game of bridge with Vickie and Jesse, with the help of Vickie's parents. We are all refreshed now and will have the BIG game tomorrow. (The boys insist that they beat us two years ago when we were in GA, but really they had help. Either way, this is the rematch.)

My summer is almost here

Only one more day of school left! And boy will I be happy when it's over. Andrew gets out tomorrow too.
We're in for a buys weekend though. Thursday night we head to Shreveport to see some of Andrew's old friends. Then on to Texarkana for Kara's graduation on Friday. We'll be back to Calhoun/Ruston/Monroe for Vickie's graduation from TECH on Saturday. And best of all Sophie's second birthday. I am sure it is going to be a blast.

This summer has a lot of things in store. (Hopefully not too much baby sickness.) I've got work(tutoring), the ACCS conference in Memphis, preparations for teaching this fall, and preparations for a baby (if that's even possible.) And much much more I'm sure.

Picture catch up

Here are some pictures to catch up on the last few months. These were done with my new camera (which is awsome by the way.)

I'll try some more later.

Another year older

Tuesday was my birthday. I don't feel any older yet, but now I'm 23. This last year has been so full of new things that it's hard to imagine a year that exciting ever happening to me again.

Reflection:
In the last year so many changes happened. I graduated college and moved on to the "real world". I spent 9 months planning my wedding. I got married to a wonderful man. And more recently, I discovered that I'm going to be a mom.

Each step seems huge, but at the same time, they weren't that difficult to take. If I had it all to do over there is nothing I would change, nothing I would take away or make any different. It was a great year.

Everyone at work(30-50 year old women) think that 23 has got to be the best year of life. I could see in their eyes how much they loved that time in their lives. It's hard to imagine though, that this year will be able to beat the last year. I am sure that having a baby will be wonderful and all...but that seems so far away.

All that to say, It's been a great year!

Oh yeah, and I got an awsome camera for my birthday! Thanks Andrew and the Shipps!

EDD

Estimated Date of Delivery: December 30th
It almost seems real now.

We also got a puppy. Yes, we are crazy. And he is very noisy. His name is Luther, a younger sibling to the late Lorna. Andrew is adjusting to his cries in the middle of the night.
