My Last Dream

You know that you have reached the end of the dream spectrum when you dream about the weather channel.
I'm done.

Conversation II

Setting: In the van on a field trip. Student is looking at the seat belt.

Student: Does P-R-E-S-S spell unbuckle?

And now some catch up.

Andrew and Gabriel are not feeling well.

We've decided to just jump in at a church. We've chosen to get involved in the PCA church here despite a bad first impression. (Our third impression was much better.) We even joined a small group.

Tomorrow night we're going to a function at the Dean's house. It's a reception for the married law students and their spouces. We're really looking foward to it.

We had a good weekend in the DFW area. We went to a Ranger's game with the Garners and did some shopping with them on Saturday. Then we got together with some of Andrew's old friends from TCU. We even ended up with a babysitter that night so we could go out to dinner with friends. (One friend's mom was in town and offered to keep him and play grandma.) We really enjoyed it.

Sick Day

My poor little guy has an ear infection. He is now taking his first round of antibiotics. He's pitiful. We're out for 2 1/2 days of sick leave from work (we being the baby and myself.) I'll go back on Friday for weekend training/workshop. I hope baby boy is feeling better by then because his daddy can't miss class and baby boy can't go back to daycare with fever.

He weighs 23 lbs 6 oz.
He is 27.6 inches long
His head circumfernece is 19 inches.
He is in the 95% on weight and the 25% on height. Some day he'll get taller.
He recently said his first word, "puppy" (it sounds more like "pupu")
His daddy told me that he said "mama" today, but I'm not so sure.

A couple more recent pictures for his loving fans (and his Aunt Christin.)

Yay!

I just found out I get to see my sister this weekend. I am glad. A little (partial) family gathering should do just right.

I wish I didn't care....

...that I haven't really made any new friends here yet.

...that it's so stinkin' hot.

...that my phone doesn't ring.

...that my husband isn't home from school.

...that the world is full of uncaring people.
