HOME!
We are back in Waco and couldn't be happier. We had a great summer in Ruston and a wonderful time with the Shipps, but it's good to be back in our own house. The boys are settling in nicely. It's weird for them to be back in their own beds. It's an upgrade for Jonah, going from a creaky pack-n-play to his baby bed. And Gabriel had a little down sizing, from a twin to a toddler bed. They are both happy though. They were mostly excited about all the toys. It's like Christmas around here! Everything is new to Jonah, and Gabriel forgot about most things.
We're trying to fit in as much fun as we can before Andrew starts back to school on the 25th. Today we took them, and a friend, to the zoo. It's only 91 today, so it wasn't completely miserable. It was fun piling them into the can (oh yeah, did I mention we got a new van!) , then piling them into the double stroller (all three kids fit), then walking around the zoo with three boys (3, 2, 1).
Tomorrow we're planning a trip to Waco Water Park. I think Gabriel will love it, and Jonah can deal with it:) We're also planning a super-mini-vacation to DFW next week. It'll be a working trip. We'll go through Ennis, TX to do a Senior Portrait session for a distant cousin of mine, then head to Arlington for a Rangers game. Then the next morning we're going to Six Flags. (Crazy, I know. But we've got free tickets, so if it's a bust, we're not out any money.) We may do something else while we're there too.
So, about that mini-van...we got a 2005 Chrystler Town and Country. It's silver, it has stow-n-go seats, power sliding doors and a power lift gate. We are all loving it.
Andrew starts Practice Court August 25th. We both think that his summer clerkship taught him a lot and prepared him for what's ahead. I guess we'll find out soon!

Toy Story
Gabriel is really into the Disney Movie, Toy Story. He watches it in the car on trips, he plays with the characters, and even talks like them.
Yesterday, Gabriel was in my room with me and we could hear Jonah and Andrew on the baby monitor. Gabriel went over, picked up the baby monitor and, talking into it, said "Jonah, you are JUST a TOY!"
If you've seen the movie, you'll know that's something Woody says to Buzz.
I laughed out loud:)
